Artists in Schools

"Fenced" Project

In 2016 our school took part in the Artists in Schools program. Under the guidance of local artist, Angie McMillan, students designed and created their own puppets and used them in a large scale production entitled 'Fenced'. All five classes looked at a different part of Australian history that either created or brought down 'fences' within our society and each wrote and presented their version of events, ranging from the Gold Rush and mass European immigration in the 1940's and 50's to refugee tales of today.
